Saunas as a Daily Cultural Practice

In Scandinavia, saunas are not reserved for spas or special occasions. Many homes, apartment buildings, and community centers include some access, and people of all ages use them regularly.

Sauna time is slow, intentional, and unhurried. Phones are put away. Conversations are simple. Silence is welcomed. This rhythm alone reduces stress and mental overload - a key factor in healthy aging.

Rather than chasing productivity or performance, sauna culture encourages rest, reflection, and recovery.
