How I Got Healthier, Stronger & Happier After Retirement

When I first retired, I thought part-time work would be perfect - less stress, more freedom. But the more I looked into it the more it was the same old grind...slower.

So I quit - for real. And I rebuilt my life from the ground up. Here's how I got in the best shape of my past 30 years. 


Move Every Day—Or Lose It
Now, I ruck ( walk with a 35 pound weight vest ) 5 days a week and lift weights 2 to 4 times. It's not about chasing six-pack abs - it's about staying strong, mobile, and independent.

Miss a day? No problem. Miss a week? You feel it. At 67, I've lost 50 pounds, kept it off, and feel better than I did in my 30's.

Gratitude Changes Everything
Aging brings challenges - but your mindset makes or breaks your experience. I jot down one thing I'm grateful for every week. On tough days, I read one. Works like magic.
