At the end of 2022 feeling horrible, discovering I weighed 268 lbs. with  blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, and triglycerides all dangerously high and learning I had an early warning sign of diabetes which was blood behind my right eye I decided I needed to improve my health.   

In six weeks, I lost 20 lbs. and the blood behind my right eye cleared.  Eventually I lost 52 lbs. in total.  

Fast Forward to today ( 11/1/2024 ) and through Rucking, Weight Lifting and Eating Healthy ( Significantly reduced Sugar, Salt and Carbs ) I have been able to keep the 50 lbs. of weight off for almost 2 years and even though I started this journey before retirement, these changes are achievable for anyone at any age.
