Catching Cancer Early

During an annual PSA test, I discovered I had prostate cancer. I had no symptoms, but the test caught it early enough for surgery to remove it. Over a decade later, I'm cancer-free. My doctor's yearly rectal exam ( not my favorite, but necessary! ) ensures no new masses have formed. Without these routine check-ups, I might not have caught the cancer in time.

A Wake-Up Call for My Health

2 years ago at 268 pounds, my annual physical revealed my health numbers were moving into dangerous territory. Paired with an eye exam that found blood behind my right eye - a warning sign for diabetes - I knew I needed to make a change. That wake-up call motivated me to take control of my health. I eventually lost 50 pounds, I have kept it off for 2 years which motivated me to start this website in the hopes of helping others. 

Gratitude for Preventative Care

Without these yearly visits, I may not have caught my prostate cancer or reversed my health decline. Today, I am healthier, happier, and still here to share my story.
