Staying Healthy in Retirement !!

Below is an image of my healthy supper from last night including boiled corn, steamed broccoli and chicken burgers cooked in olive oil.  I don't eat canned or frozen vegetables just fresh and I only cook with olive oil no seed oils.

The second image is of the fruits ( No canned or frozen fruits just fresh ) I eat such as Apples, Oranges, Bananas, Kiwis, and Pears. Not pictured are plums I ate earlier in the day, pineapple that was cut up and in the refrigerator and watermelon that I had put in the blender then drank also earlier in the day.

The last image is of me weighing myself this morning which displays 218.0 lbs. This is exactly 50 lbs. less than what I weighed on Christmas Eve 2022 ( 268 lbs. ) so my approach of Rucking, Weight Lifting and Healthy diet continues to work. In addition while I lost this weight I have put on muscle so a much higher percentage of my body is muscle now compared to the end of 2022.

I think anyone at any age can do this. I wish you luck with your weight loss - Provide comments about your journey.

When I was 268 lbs.  I took out my wife's scale but I didn't put it on the wood floor rather I kept it on the rug and it displayed "Error" over and over. I thought with my weight I may have broken the scale. I was afraid that next time I stepped on it the display would be "One at a time please" - My wife let me know the scale needed to be on the wood floor to report an accurate weight and it was at that point I realized that I needed to lose weight.
