In the past whenever my wife would ask me to do something I would tell her I would get my best man on it and my son Kyle would help out. Now in Retirement he has moved out but I still want to be able to delegate projects. I asked my daughter to step up and perform the delegation role that my son provided and the closed door below was her response
She also missed the Delegation Orientation meeting I set up so she doesn't seem to be grasping the whole retired and delegating process - I will have to find new approaches to get her onboard
My daughter's response to the delegation role |
I think the reason my son performed the delegation role so well is that I reached him on a sentimental level - Often times when he would be heading out I would say to him ( Courtesy of the late great Harry Chapin ) - "When you coming home Kyle" - "You don't know when but we'll get together then" - "You know we'll have a good time then"
